Strata Table

As the name suggests this piece makes reference to geological formation. In this case strata is implied by the layering of sheets of various types of wood reclaimed from discarded wardrobes, tables, as well as scrap plywood hauled from skips. Its eventual form resembles that of weathered rock, honed by forces of nature. References of this kind are recurrent within Stephen White’s body of work, creating a homage to ancient rock forged by powerful forces of which we stand on.
